<p>Auch is a social media and marketing strategy consultant with clients in both Costa Rica and the United States. She was previously the Assistant Director of Public Relations &#038; Account Manager at LP&#038;G Marketing in Arizona, USA and has worked in the marketing industry for the past 9 years. She currently runs a Facebook group offering tips to professionals located in Costa Rica.  </p>

<h4>Foreign Investment In Costa Rica – The Art of Negotiation</h4>
<p>We invite you to a presentation from Costa Rica&#8217;s Foreign Trade Minister, Anabel González. </p>
<p>After extensive involvement in the negotiation of the free trade agreement with the United States, and after directing the agriculture division of the World Trade Organization (2006-2009), González was tapped to serve in the cabinet of the first female president of Costa Rica as Foreign Trade Minister in April 2010.</p>
<p>She is now leading efforts to attract foreign investment to Costa Rica. Due to her work in drafting trade agreements, she has perhaps the greatest influence on Costa Rica’s economy. </p>
<p>González has also worked as a senior consultant on trade and investment issues for the Inter-American Development Bank (2009-2010), directed Costa Rica’s Investment Promotion Agency (2001-2002) and served as Director General for Trade and Investment Negotiations at the Foreign Trade Ministry (1991-1997). </p>
<p>A graduate of the University of Costa Rica law school and the masters of law program at Georgetown University, González has been published and has lectured extensively on trade and investment issues in more than 25 countries.</p>

<p>On September 17th, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Torremolinos Hotel (Paseo Colon/Sabana), the Professional Women’s Network of the Women’s Club of Costa Rica (PWN) will present an insider’s view of the current public and private university systems in Costa Rica.</p>
<p>Attendees will learn about the challenges students face and their overall impact on local economy. The session will also cover how we can enjoy the advantages of supporting these students, assist them to become better job candidates and how to incorporate them into our place of employment to improve business. </p>
<p>PWN will also announce its ‘Young Female Professional Studies Scholarship’ aimed at supporting female university students in professional skills development in addition to the financial assistance WCCR currently provides. </p>
<p>Silvia Castro Montero is a Doctor of University Administration (University Pennsylvania) with more than 16 years leading higher education institutions. She is the current director of Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Technología (ULACIT), a private university in Costa Rica. She received her Master of Education at Harvard University.</p>
